Kate Johnson is a literary agent at Wolf Literary Services, based in the UK and New York. Prior to joining Wolf Literary, Kate was an agent and vice president at Georges Borchardt, Inc. She previously edited and reported at StoryQuarterly, Bookslut.
Kate represents literary and upmarket fiction, contemporary young adult fiction, narrative nonfiction, and the occasional memoir. Fiction-wise, she loves strong characters and voices, psychological investigations, moral ambiguity, dark humor, modern-day fables, international settings, underrepresented voices, magical realism (but not fantasy), historical fiction, and tales that examine the oddities of seemingly normal, everyday life. She also looks for strong characters and voices in nonfiction, and is particularly interested in food, feminism, parenting, art, travel and the environment.
